Lumbini tour to the birthplace of lord Buddha. Buddhism is very popular religion in Nepal, north India, Tibet and Bhutan. Hinduism and Buddhism exist together in Nepal maintaining a good harmony. This tour combines both the natural and cultural aspects of touring in Nepal, starting from Kathmandu: the cultural, historical and political center of Nepal. Kathmandu has its own brand of cultural life which is based on unique mixture different religions and faiths. In Kathmandu, we visit Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath, and many other important Buddhist monasteries.

Itinerary

  • Days 1: ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU Upon arrival in Kathmandu Airport, you will be greeted and assistance by Spiritual Representative. After completing your custom formalities, transfer to your hotel. Overnight is at Hotel in Kathmandu.
  • Days 2: KATHMANDU SIGHTSEEING After breakfast, visit Namobuddha Monastery. It is one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in Nepal. Next, you will visit Kopan Monastery, Boudhanath Stupa (World’s Largest Stupa) and Swoyambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). Drive back to Hotel. Overnight is at Hotel in Kathmandu.
  • Days 3: KATHMANDU – LUMBINI After breakfast, drive to Lumbini (about 315 km, 8/9 hrs drive), the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Arrive and transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day is leisure. Overnight is at Hotel in Lumbini.
  • Days 4: EXPLORE LUMBINI Today, you will be visiting Mayadevi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, Sacred Garden and different monasteries made by many countries like China, Thailand, Burma, Srilanka, Korea, Germany, France and many more. Overnight is at Hotel in Lumbini.
  • Days 5: LUMBINI – POKHARA Drive back to Pokhara (about 206 km, 5/6 hrs drive). Arrive in Pokhara. Transfer to Hotel. Visit World Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa). Drive back to Hotel. Overnight is at Hotel in Pokhara.
  • Days 6: EXPLORE POKHARA Early morning, sunrise view from Sarangkot hill. Visit Bindabasini Temple. Drive to Hotel for breakfast. Later, visit Devis fall, Gupteshwor Cave, Seti River, Tibetan Refugee Camp, and Robotic Buddha Museum. Overnight is at Hotel in Pokhara.
  • Days 7: POKHARA – KATHMANDU Drive back to Kathmandu (about 210 km, 6/7 hrs drive). Arrive and transfer to Hotel. Rest of the day is free for individual activities. Or you can stroll around the Thamel market. Overnight is at Hotel in Kathmandu.
  • Days 8: DEPARTURE After breakfast, free till departure. Later, on time transfer to International Airport for onward destination.
